Sponsorship

My little Natalie that I was sponsoring went to live with a foster family so she can get acclimated to a family setting.  That's so good for Naomi!

Here is my new beauty that I am sponsoring.  Her name is Emmie.  Doesn't that fit her!  I am looking forward to getting updates on this doll :)

Beach day

We have a pool at home and the kids love it. 

But, by August the kids get a bit bored with it and wonder why we can't go to the lake.  So, once a summer we pack up and head to the beach :) 

Today was our beach day, and because we had the whole family around since we didn't make the Dells we rented a few jet skis. 

The water was warm and we didn't get swimmers itch :)  That was a concern from my pool kids...

The weather was perfect about 1/2 the day.  Warm, and a nice breeze.

Xander had a good time but was sure to run on shore when the jet skis pulled to shore and the waves rolled in :)

I'm glad the kids are so comfortable around water, that is a huge advantage of owning your own pool.

They got some tubing in as well :)

Some people are crazy drivers...

We enjoyed our beach day and maybe will even go twice this summer :)

We should have been in the Dells for the next few days for our vacation but my Mom got extremely ill so we decided to just hang out at home and go to the Dells over Labor Day weekend.  My niece and her boyfriend are home so there will be lots of pool time the next few days :)

a year ago...

I was soundly sleeping in a comfy bed in Hong Kong after 24 or more hours of travel.  I can hardly believe that it's been nearly a year since we recieved our little Xander! 

Coast Guard.

We found out recently that Ryan "ships out" from Lansing on Sept. 20th to Cape May New Jersey.  He is scheduled to graduate on Nov. 11th.  I'm so happy for him yet I'm nervous as well.  We have been looking for tickets online and wondering about hotels.  If anybody has been there, some tips would be appreciated :)  Pray for my boy....
